KINDLE KINDLE KINDLE!!!

I know its not my birthday and i know it's not Christmas for another 10 months, but
i know defiantly what's going on my wish list already!

have you ever been in the middle of 2 books, a magazine, and the morning paper and just cant decided which to take with you as you're running out the door? well, my good friend, behold Amazons updated wonderment, the KINDLE 2!!!

Its a super light slick device that allows you to download thousands of book and keep them in your Kindle.

take a look at the Kindle 2.0

it makes me what to take out my credit card and not think twice
about paying that 359 dollars.
haa.

Though kindle 2 makes my heart race at the idea that i can carry literally thousands of book in the palm of my hand, it almost makes me feel like a cheating spouse. With this new technology, what will happen to my beloved books?! what about the magic of walking into a dusty mystical used book store and flipping the pages of a 1930's atlas? The vivid colors of art work or textures of a child's first learning book? There's just somethings that can never be replaced

I cant help feeling guilty for wanting it so bad. Though, it does minimize the use of paper and is very convenient. especially since i commute daily on the subway and such.

Though if i stop being a typical grandma consumer and just ride the technology wave and appreciate the advancements ,
i can enjoy this for just a little.

so kindle me this kindle me that, buy it or not, but stop talking smack!

terrible twos

why the heck am i so grumpy?!
i feel like half the time my face is like this:

i'm back to my 'i hate winter' mode.
and honestly i just need to get over myself already.

and i have no idea why the last post i was ranting about irony
and underlining its improper misuse in sentences and situations.
super geek i am.
but if i must i must.
irony is not coincidence.
irony is more like sarcasm.
Alanis Morissette just likes to make up shit in her mind,oh, like definitions to words for example,
and then putting it in her stupid songs.
i suppose i just felt i had to clear that up for F.Y.I. reasons.
:)

this past weekend seamed like a big blur.
I ended up going all the way to JFK on Monday to drop off my baby sis
and just before i left, i through some sound, yet very condense advice at her.
she seamed like she was grateful for it and took in genuinely.
Sam brought up a very good point, we forget her age and how young
and inexperience she is.
though, I believe i can say project vee was a success!

movement is contagious.

Friday we hit up MOmA
for their free friday nights.

I must gab about the The Printed Picture Exhibition.
it will be running up until July 13, so there
definitely time to see it sill.
but if you are a true photo-buff at heart,
you must go to this.
The Printed Picture is a book by Richard Benson
'that traces the changing technology of picture making from the Renaissance to the present, focusing on the vital role of images in multiple copies.
a1.Offset duotone and tritone.

In conjunction with the publication of the book, the installation of the material will be presented in the The Edward Steichen Photography Galleries.'

the art of film photography has been at lost for many years,
however, i remember the days in the darkroom.
There's just a certain high you get from the entire process
when you get it right.
this exhibition highlights the technical advances of print (etc),
virtually things that almost go unnoticed.
I, myself had stored all that in my subconscious
until I saw the evidence in front of me.

like bar codes for instance. we rarely think about what they really are and what they really do.
but the idea is brilliant. take a look at one of the installations.
read the caption.

my mind was blown away.

isn't it ironic that in fact it's not ironic?!

translate: 'i found love on the Internet'
'....isnt it ironic....dont you think....'
whao! yeah Alanis you're sooo fucken awesome.
now that's ironic.

moving on...
yesterday was valentines day ( just in case no one rubbed it in you face and you forgot),
so the three of us went to cafe habana and had some yummy food&drinks.
we walked up and down Manhattan like mad people, but ended up running into
a very pleasant surprise.

it was during the of course last night that i finally found it!
a super secret insiders dining stop that i'd been hearing about!

though i've debated whether or not to disclose the location, lets just say it's 'a sleekly restored diner car doubles as a taqueria and a front for one of the city's most stylish dining destinations. Behind the door marked "Employees Only," down the stairs and through the bowels of the kitchen, lies a gothic vault ornamented with wrought iron gates and dripping candelabras. Clusters of fashion and music types, outfitted in their best dungeon glam, augment the allure. Thankfully the unique space doesn't outshine the food, influenced by consultant Richard Ampudia of nearby Cafe Habana. Every step pleases, from skillfully balanced seviches to authentically styled tacos and the generously flavored mains.' -cs

Word on the street is that is it super hard to get reservations here and ends up boiling down to 'who you know'.
the fact that this is such an insider thing elevates my desire to eat there.
better said this is something exclusive.

i must be a part of it!!!

i feel l must share yet another treasure i encountered in my adventure to the laundry mat the other night.
as my clothes washed and the dramatic Spanish speaking soap opera played, i decided to try my luck in a
claw machine.

there i saw behind the glass a beautiful little max doll that had my name written all over it.
i was confident i could snatch him and 2 1/2 goes later...
taaaaa daaahhh!
mine!

swwweeeet victory!

today i'm wondering if i should ride a bike or not.
mmmm i think i'll just do it!
maybe.
ahh.
no.
yes.
dunno.

tho,
-i feel great-
now that's irony.

i'm just not that into you...feeling like crap!

have you or have you not tried uno's farmers market deep dish pizza?!
if not, ssssttttaaaaay aaway! its delious...ly...dandgous.
and dont be fooled by the many veggie on tops this mamma jamma. it is loaded with
your daily intake of carbs, dairy, fats, and calories.
but damn, it taste so gooood.

coincidentally, i was wearing a 'eat your vegetables' tee yesterday. These of course are my chorky attempts to promote good health, but obviously flush it away quick by consuming them on a Chicago-style deep dish pizza.
{good going loser-face!}

my sister is here!
(i.e. picture above)

and i really cant tell yet if she's really excited or hardly impressed.
giving it some time.

on this lovely valentines day morning, the entire house woke up to the smell of a mysterious burning smell.
we find out that our down stair neighbor burn the shit out of a pot a rice.
4 hours later the 'intoxicating aroma' still lingers.

and speaking of the v-day, if you are looking for cards & tired of those damn hallmark, poop speaking non-sense, then
here's some v-day e-cards that our sure to get a reaction.

if you're honey has a taste for dark-humor or just a oopper fan of law& order (like myself), then these v-cards are just screaming ' i may not be the best looking guy, but if i make you laugh, you can learn to like me". and really, who doesn't like nice kinda creepy acts of kindness. haa.

and if that didn't tickle your funny bone then go to
someecards.com and browse for more valentine day messages.

they range for all types of folks.

well in any case whatever tickles your pickle its a load of chuckles either way.
and if this isn't you favorite holiday to celebrate they got plenty others to
awkwardly offend your friends and family.

call me crazy but even though 2009 started a little rough and still in its post 2008 year end woes,
i'm still pretty optimistic about this year.
why?
i have no f-en clue.

It extends out to cinema in 09 as well.
i think it's safe to say I’m a movie buff and love theater experience minus sticky floors.
so, just in case you didnt know

one of my favorite book as a kid is being made into a movie. 'It's an adaptation of Maurice Sendak's classic children's story, where Max, a disobedient little boy sent to bed without his supper, creates his own world--a forest inhabited by ferocious wild creatures that crown Max as their ruler.'

It's directed by spike jones and has had numerous obstacles in getting made.
Despite, I'm extremely curious to the end results.
release date is in October and i can't wait!!!

as for today.
let it begin.
eeep.

F.ired U.p

so my last entry was rather misleading. and frankly a little harsh.
i do occasionally still find myself humming christmas songs at work and enjoy looking at snow fall from the window, really i do, but this cold has got the best of me. it has come to my attention that i have a 'condition'!

i'm S.A.D.
you see, according to The US National Library of Medicine i ha(d) seasonal affective disorder. This is what they said, "some people experience a serious mood change when the seasons change. They may sleep too much, have little energy, and crave sweets and starchy foods."

either that, or they just called me a stoner.
ha.

no, in actuality i don’t 'HATE' winter, but more like, it has run its course already! now, i want it to go away and give the sun a chance...
damn it!
ha.
no really.

i just need a damn vacation. like pronto!

so lucky for me i was stuck working six days the week before and didnt have much of a weekend, but made up for it
with this past weekend & did a lotta walking.

so friday after work we hit up the west village,
ate too much, and got sauced with 2 long island and 1/4 bottle
of coke&run!

saturday consisted of me having yet another lazy start, but caught some sun while heading into willy-b's local inside flea market. we went down to check it out and support one of my favorite locals, sable.

set up:

i had spent a lotta money the past couple days and was on a short leash that weekend.
i ended up leaving with two mini food rings from the 3sD mamas!
check em at their blog.
http://3storydesign.blogspot.com/
great stuff from a great trio of ladies!

we ventured off more into brooklyn, grab some Indian food, then decided to take a
stroll on the bridge. everything was fine until...

crash!

Suddenly we see 20-30 feet from us, a biker down on the floor. I could see that they fell pretty hard and ran in haste to the scene.
Appartently it was a woman who lost traction and hit her head on the steel bars of the bridge.
Her face was tore up and she remained unconscious for while.
Her son frantically calls out to her to wake up and she comes in and out of it, as the side of her face is bleeding.

shit shit shit. i get my phone and call 911!
it had to be seriously 45 minutes for the damn ambulance to comprehend 'we are on the Williamsburg bridge, if you are looking at brooklyn from the city we on the left hand side. we are not in brooklyn. we are over the water in the city, the side closest to manhatten.' it was like wtf man?! the damn cops were there before them.& that usually isnt the case.
the whole time we all waited, all i can think was 'damn, these people our suppose to come save our lives and they cant even follow directions?!'
eeep.
leave me for dead then!
I’ve been to a brooklyn hospital & i don’t know if the ones in the cities’ are better or worst, either way i do not want to end up there again! gees what a horrible experience!

i do remember though that in this whole bike/bridge fiasco that this man, a concern pedestrian, asked if we needed further assistance. We informed him that we already did all we could and then thanked him. he nodes and just before he is on his way, the man points to the sky and says,' you guys are good people. this is going to score some big points with the man up stairs'.

i smirk at the comment, but I really never know how to take those comments

on a more random note, why the hell has this song been stuck in my
head for the last couples days?!

Im Like A Bird - Nelly Furtado

On Sunday i hit up the streets and dressed up for absolutely no reason other then wanting to look cute. It was working against me quickly, thanks to the super evil winter wind chill!

but before I spiral into a winter rant I will direct it to a more worthy cause!
hot dogs!!!
i looove hot dogs and i feel it is my duty as a dedicate admirer to inform you about

dogmatic!

'The New York food scene is always looking for some fancy-free food to gourmet-up, be it Gorgonzola burgers, duck-fat French fries or thin-crust artichoke pizza.

This year's candidate for yuppie-fixation is the simple hot dog, currently being fancified at Dogmatic Sausage Systems, a new Union Square-area eatery run by the former chef at West Village hot spot Employees Only. What started as a street cart at Bleecker Street Playground is now a full-scale restaurant, and if the lines during opening week are any gauge, Dogmatic could give the ubiquitous Gray's Papaya a run for its money.

Just don't ask for a Ballpark frank with yellow mustard. The dogs here are made from free-range chicken, grass-fed pork, turkey and lamb, served on baguettes and topped with sauces like truffle Gruyere and sun-dried tomato feta.' –ny res08.

check it!

in movies, i'm super glad i skipped 'he's just not that into you', though the book is rather informative and gives me reasons to slap and laugh at myself, the reviews are trash talking-hardcore about its weak script.
However if you are looking for an experience at the theaters,
I suggest watching coraline in 3d!

old teaser traler:

It visually beautiful and amazingly eerie. I heard it described as 'the mad hatters version of Alice in wonderland'.
But don’t veer off for a chance to see it.
You know you secretly want too!!!

the devil wears a sales rep outfit.

it was a shame that the last week i had to work 6days and feel shitting and lazy on sunday cause the sky's decided to give us an awsume weekend. go figure.
it seam when i do have the weekend off the weather is crap!

i went to Korea town this weekend and realize why i stay far from it.
food is way not cheap and somehow you'll pay twice as much for something you can get in china town. though i admit there market's pretty sweet. though, when are they gonna have a japan land?

in any case, the sun decided to stay until monday which made me just want to get out doors and soak up as much as i can! i went into the city to meet up for lunch and found a sitting place between the building that projected that beautiful sunlight. man it felt so good. i can really see first hand why people back home in California are way happier people. we take breath taking sunsets for granted, they are there year round.

exciting new is my little sister is coming. i bought her a plain ticket to new york for her bday and gonna spoil her while she's here. times are tough back home for her and everyone right now, so i hope this will reboot her!!!

i on the other been spending money left and right and mostly thank the sales rep on 5th ave yesterday in being damn good at his job. i;m weak. i have never bought an expensive girl thing, until that beautiful hand embroidered mustard hand bag came in to my sight. well, i'll tell you since the economy is shit, its s good time to go shopping! all stores are suffering right now, including big names and the sales are just amazing.

word of caution: just be careful with those cleaver sales reps they will push until you give!!!

dream to live. live to dream.

so lately i've been having pretty insane scary dreams.
yet on most occasions when i have nightmares, i'm left slightly terrified in the morings. i do admit i'm a little weired out when i wake up, but almost chuckle at the ridiculous subconscious mesh my mind produces.

however, there was a dream i did have a couple weeks ago that was rather odd as well, but carried a completely different feeling. i vaguely remember most of it, but it makes no different because those details are trivial anyways. The part i recall quite clearly is the glowing pumpkins!!! yes a field as far as the eye can see of glowing pumpkins!

somehow i was on this farmland part of a kingdom, that was stricken by poverty and desperate to get the prince's attention, who lived over the mountain, to come save them. so the plan was, if i could get his majesty to come to the common land and get married off to him, then i could aid the people from their hungry woes. so somehow i had these seeds that i planted all through the farmers land and like magic, hundreds and hundreds of glowing pumpkins grew. they produced so much light and energy over this darken land that the royals could see the orange hue from the castle. the prince was then intrigued by the illuminating source and headed towards it quickly.

the people had then realized that those pumpkins produced energy to help bring fresh water, heat, and to cultivate the land. the prince still wanted to marry me which was a chick perk for any girl, but the entire thing was greatly mythical and yet strangely inspiring.

so then...
fast forward to a week later i go to check my email, as usually, and bombarded with advertisments all over the tops and sides, as usually, only this time one quickly catches my eye. a grey banner that read solar-aid.org 'SolarAid is a brand new charity that works with rural communities in developing countries to use solar power to fight poverty and climate change.' and i was like whaaaa?!!!?

i'm awed. what an amazing concept, and in that moment i had a flash back of my crazy dream. ironic? mmmm. well i suppose only i would make a connection like that, still this is an fantastic idea worth spreading. and this is without a doubt inspiring!

so this weekend didn't consist of me endangering myself, unless you count saturday when i wore my pea coat that lost all its buttons, being held together only by one silver broach. otherwise i felt i was rather productive.
maybe not in doing chores but i didnt stay in the apartment all weekend.
:)

i went to Pete's candy store in brooklyn for the first time and had this amazing sandwich with a hot cup of spiked apple cider. mmm.

saturday i headed to the Whitney, and honestly i dont think i ever disliked a museum in my life, but for whatever reason the first two times i went, it had felt so mundane. however, it had faded away that evening. it was two days before the William Eggleston: Democratic Camera - Photographs and Video, 1961-2008 ended & it was a must see!
the lighting was a little low and there was this mist around the entire floor, a kind of wetness almost. nonetheless the entire thing was eye candy. beautiful prints with very saturated colors. love love love.

on the fourth floor was the Alexander Calder exhibition, the paris years.
i walked around with those headphones they pass out and had the little device narrated his colorful life to me. i was so impressed in fact, that i purchased a tee down stair at the gift shop!

calder tee.

we headed to china town where i took some pictures and we ate dirty Chinese.
there where people up and down the street selling countless flowers and fruit.
the sidewalks where crowed, people every where getting ready for the Chinese new year. year of the ox!

after feeling inspired and our tummy's full, we go down to the angelica to watch a movie i've been wanting to see for awhile now.
slumdog millionaire. 'set and filmed in India, Slumdog Millionaire tells the story of a young, uneducated man from the Dharavi slums of Mumbai who appears on an Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and exceeds people's expectations, arousing the suspicions of the game show host and of law enforcement officials.'

its an incredible movie that kept my heart racing. it's a beautiful raw story about the extremes in life. If you havent seen it, I highly recommend the film. If you havent heard about it then you must!

side not: the girl who plays latikka is such a hottie.

ah, but my saturday night didnt end there. i get a text from ruthie that a sick party is going down in brooklyn 'valerie collective house party tonite!!! russ chimes. anoraak. college love! bradley d! starts at 12:)'.

when i got that text, i didnt care if my tired bones wanted to go home. i was going to that house party and dancing my legs to nubs if i had to!!! i had missed the show the night before at webster hall cause i was working and it had slipped my mind, so i was so excited that this was going down! i get lost of course and finally find the crowed smoked filled loft. and well into the night i partied up. dancing front and center of russ chimes! gooood times.

ventures to morrow

so in my morning attempts to function, doing the least amount of work is key.
so instead of getting up and getting my camera from a white paper bag accompanied by the new york times, i grab my phone which is bedside, to take a picture of my knee.

why you may ask?
cause i want to remember the trail of idiocy that can happen when you had too much kool-aid (up).
but i decided that it was just way to eww to post.
this time i wasnt flying off of bikes,
but unknowingly walking home and tripped over a fence.
(important detail: fence was on the ground.)

jan1st:
which brings me to my new years.
i was fortunate enough to be working on the eve
but did get the glimpse of the ball dropping in time square on the LCD,
which coincidentally i was only 3 block from.

if you by chance missed the drop
here it is for your viewing:

quick note: dick clark creepy. ryan sea.crust way creepier.

i heart demi l. sorry for the lame shout out

nonetheless midnight didnt stop me from going out and dancing until the wee morning hours.

the buddies again where throwing a sweet party in greenpoint, so off i was brooklyn bound.

in a nutshell i danced, i shaked, i found an iPhone, i got mad @ taking care of way drunk people, and hit a hummer limo with the taxi door, oh, & then ran off. haa.
all in all it was an eventful new years.

jan 10: jeff's ptay!

as always in support my lovable ruth asked for an order for jeff's gig & of course was happy to accept.
and there they are.

it was a great time for cupcakes and friends a like.

please check out more great pictures of the event on my cupcake random page @

myspace.com/cupcakerandom

well, i suppose after that my amour rachel was convinced she waned to have my cupcakes at her bro's party.
which i may add, seams like a super fun awsume interesting dude.
he traveled around the world for more or less then a year.

i highly recommend his blog!!!
globestomper.com

it was from this i got my ideas for his cupcakes.

in my most recent notable adventure, same weekend as the 'hit and fall' incident, i some how found my self on the road during a crazy snow storm and heading to Providence Rhode island. being born and raised in the sun (which i miss my summer glow) had left me ignorant to winter roads and the dangers they cause. so after seeing countless cars stranded and swarved off, it was a sure sign that mother nature had won this battle.

we cozied into a AAA approved hotel that to my surprise was really nice and came with access to its indoor swimming pool.
so of course i couldnt turn down the opportunity.
boy it felt good to be in the water, even though i could clearly see the snow from the glass door.

the really only downer was that mystic or more the entire state of Connecticut stops serving /selling liquor at 10pm! and never sells it on sundays. it happened to be sunday.

haa in any case i loved my mini vacay and being able to play in the snow and go swimming the nite before, well
that rocked!

lets see where this weekend takes me.

small talk about big things. yes we did!

it has come to my attention that perhaps i'm not the only one to gaze their eyes over the words i digital scribble on here.

perhaps it reminds me of that saying, 'If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it does it make a sound?'

and just because i don't get an indication of people reading this thing, doest mean they dont.

technology has sifted the idea of movement. at least what we usually reference it too, such as running or jumping. that idea of action.

now, i suppose there's such a thing as digital action. digital movement.

and it reminds me of the current events in politics and the use of plentiful resources we have now.
how our current president executed those wisely and for that it helped him stay in
touch and in tune with current times.

there's a small conversation that came up the day after the inauguration about bush.
his stupid face after obama's speech, left a couple of us wondering, what would be the outcome of that Tuesday, if our former president didnt royally screw up?

would there be a black man as the commander and chief, leader of this 'free' world?

i use to know this guy who was pretty damn smart. his wittiness was attractive but was shadowed by his cynical attitude. one thing i remember he told me was that 'smarts, in his opinion, was not measured by numbers and scores, but by being able to genuinely solve problems.'

i never though to associate obama with the term 'radial views', but indeed they are. everything we know, this man plans to shake up.

even the bitter republicans have taken over his side with a few smart ass remark here and there. trying to bust the after glow bubbles of this historic event. picking and just being 10year old sore losers.
but still it is what it is.

obama's views are without a doubt idealized, but he always reassures us that change is not possible if there is no movement in our part. he emphasises that he can leads us to better times if we just get up and follow the wave. he reminds us that if we are to over come, that we cant remain fearful. fearful of change and to remember that it was us, those who had never truly exercised there rights as Americans, that made it. progress. transition. history.

where ever our journey goes, it can be said with out a doubt, that we have made a mark.

lets keep it up.

count down to the years to add

a year?
its something single but yet in piece massive and very involved.
it will be one year on the 28th that I've been in NYC,
and though i'm partly proud and aware of my growth, i still ask,
well, whats a year?!

i missed the lighting of the tree at Rockefeller plaza,
but was hit with the smucks coming from it at the restaurant last Wednesday nite.
i was half annoyed half jealous i do have to admit.
poop.

so the first snow fell last night which was bitter sweet
cause no one was home to dance around the apartment with me
besides the cats, but it only lasted for a quick hot second and then it melted.
very cold too with 15mph wind. eep.

last night as i came back home in the wee hours of the morning, i encountered my first subway conversation with a complete stranger. well my first that i secretly was cringing at anyways.

coincidentally we both had came from club Europa that night and he ended up living two stops before mine.

so saturday was some good times with the buddies, though i was short both a girl and boyfriend that night i had a tons of fun.
a business transaction was also in process.

cupcake random!

in the words of jeff, 'those cupcakes where epic'.

good news everyone still forgave me even though i spelled aaron's name 'aaon'.
geez 'i' retarded.
i really need to get glasses.
this is no loner a small issue i can mask through
excuses, and that holds true to what happened this weekend haa!

new pictures up @ myspace.com/cupcakerandom

my job decided to slap one more day of work for this week, which bummed me out some
but its not too bad, i suppose. eww.
on the lighter note me and vicky are gonna go hit the streets tonight
and dance into the late hours of the blacken sky.

i'm ansie to get a treee as soon as possible but that has to be delayed until we can figure out
the time and place to haul it home on the subway. then figure out cheap ways to decorate it.
it looks like the apt on 158 schaefer 3rd floor will have arts and crafts nite soon!

and in conclusion i leave you on a way more worthier note. the following is video about
a women's story and insight about having a stroke.
she explains what was going on during the whole thing
and the amazing "stroke of insight" she gained
from her incident that december day in 1996.

this is remarkable and without a doubt worth your time.

check it!

i've been working on a painting the last couple a days, which is a great outlet
and artistic comforter. i finally going to put all those throw away frames into use.
what restricts me from my projects is myself.
i get so caught up in the standards of well, standards
and then i'm so sure that its stupid and unqualified.
ha. i'm a real tough critic.

so its cold outside.
oh, right freezing and of course for some unknown reason our
heater's busted.
man, is everything in our house broken?
wtf is the landlord/super when you need them?
we still must enduring hard nipples in our own home
and walk with snow hats and janky socks.
err.

so it had to be 2ish months ago that me & sam had been star brushed
twice in two days.
our first hollywood encounter was vincent d'onofrio.
it was a beautiful evening, still warm outside, as we headed towards
moma for their free friday nights.
as we scadooed along the Manhattan ciaos, there on a random street lamp pole, a filming paper was posted, "law and order: ci", it read.
i freaked. i frantically analyse the entire area
in hope to spot anyone form the show.
no luck.
then my "wheres Waldo" partner spots him.
sweet sweet vincent.
i wont go into details how i approached him and made a fool out
of myself, but i'll tell you thatthe first thing to come out of my mouth was
"oh geez your so handsome".
he sat in the huge shiny black Cadillac escalate.
his smile was big, face scuffed and he himself almost bear-like.
oh he's so adorable.

if i'm lucky my brain wont shut down and i can say
something witty to make him laugh next time. hey, i mean, it could happen.
as well as not be a bigger idiot and not take a picture with him.geesh.

the following day we were at grand central when yet again, my co-pilot spots
another movie star. this time i'm not excited. but found it humourous how
he was like the pink elelphant in the room, in this case the subway. everyone tired to act normal.
and yes, it was really ethan hawke.

i mean i liked him in before sunrise, it was the movie that won my heart over
but the minute that slut cheated on uma. he was no better
then those throw away goods, like usher and jude law. &if you think he's not a douche,
here he is being one at the 2007 tonys

i mean "he was asked about this video and was honest in an interview, he said he was not familiar with her work and did not know why such a big fuss was made over her....he is a cocky bastard and....disrespectful. "
douche.

so i was going through some old photobucket pix today. not sure exactly why and been dealing with the fact that i've been having to suffer popsicle toes because dhl has me sitting at the window like a pathetic puppie, waiting for my f*en package.
but what is a poor sap to do.
if worst comes to worst looks like i'm going to fckenin inwood nowhere really awsome ny to get a 13.5 oz box.

excuse me, but its very important
and frankly i'm just really ticked off at this entire incident.

but back to what i was saying, before the mad womens ramble,
i found some old photos and some made me smile, others made me vomit in my mouth a little (pix of the ex and I)
but most of all it made me think about that girl i was in those pictures.
i suppose the core part of looking and striving for something great hasnt changed
but who i was is not who i am now.
i mean come on, naturally theres change.
i embrace it, though coldly sometimes
i do nonetheless.

let me tell you an insider thing about writing.
just do it.
sure keeping blogs, journal, diaries, and notepads may seam
nerdy and even childish to some
but it can serve you as a number of things.

i actually find it as a humorous reference of my life (first person)
about the woes, lows, and hoes.
and of course all that great stuff pb&j-ed in between.

people will always think nothin's going on, like they're waiting for the big bam of their lives
and they're drifters.
but dont you see (as you will one day) that we are always moving
and things are always happening.
you dont have to always look past the moutain tops
just past your nose.

enjoy the view displayed in front of you

1/4x2=change!

its an understatement to say that a lot has happen since last post.

one very important thing i must say is that nov 4!!!
wow! historical! amazing! hopeful! inspiring! emotional!

that saturday i was
working the usual nite shift and was sa
d that i was going to miss the outcome of the election but we headed into brooklyn to grab some brews to either cry into our cups or celebrate with them.

as i got off the train i immediately hear cheering and people along the street, arms up and jumping, for what sounded like something good had happen
.

is it true?! is it?! we run to the bar awkwardly with our stuff to see on the HD flat screen that our next president of the UNITED STATES IS.....

ah...aWWWWWW yes!!!!! OBAMA!!!

taylor, my roomie, was so excited in fact she made a video.
mad props!

awesome!

it was a clip of just what was going on in new york. it felt like new years eve.
people on the streets cheering and ranting.
It was the first time i really genuinely felt proud to be AMERICAN!
people united.
& for the first time, in a long time, it was our nation celebrating the good
and not the tragic.
gba!

well, in other news the economy is still in the toilet hole from what it was before and one of the reasons my job was "letting people go" b.s. was happening.

lets just say there was a lot of kaka mouth syndrome that went on there anyways. up to the very end.

what was a mix feeling of liberation and
disappointment, has transfered into a great job with sundays off!!!

getting paid a bit more, awesome benefits, and located essentially closer to  home.

its kinda cool working in the MET LIFE building, perhaps cause its one of the skyscrapers that you can still see from brooklyn.

the smaller down side is working at night. i stay up late, wake up later the next day a
nd dont get to do much. yet being any type of cook, chef, restaurant related anything getting sundays off is a hard thing to pass up. but i'm in a better place now.

cupcake.random
!!!

so yet other project and love has evolved to make cupcake.random. still fairly new, but has received great feed back from many.

ruth whose awesome, asked me to do the cmj event, to help promote my little business.
thank you for being supportive!
including taylor&sam.
thanks again.
of course my customers &
the cupcake admirers!

(will also link on this page.top right hand corner)

halloween
good times halloween. i was broke as a joke but manage to put something together last minute. face paint is great and semi-fun. i say semi cause at one point its just a pain in the butt trying not to smear it, eat it, or get it in your eye. haa.

my theme was day of the dead. i think i did alright. i had fun anyways and met some great people at the parties.

i think despite my last minute efforts this year, i really had a appreciation for halloween & day of the dead.

most of it came from a subconscious level.
i lost an uncle that same month, and disclosing the details
is not important, but it has made my soul restless.
deaths in the past have always been a painful sting in my heart,
but this one, this time, the string remains.
maybe its the fact i'm so far away and haven't made my peace.
maybe i feel everything that happen, shouldn't have, and i wasn't there
to do anything.
its crazy how even an uncontrollable situation can still
make you feel guilty.
its childish, but its hard when you lose some one you loved.

staytune

stay tune for new york show clips!

So as they say things happen for a reason and i hate to be the bearer of bad news but we as human beings are meant to fail. ah yes, well, we are but we don't have to like it.

this past weekend, or i should say week, has change my whole word upside down. but its okay.

i've seen the good, bad, and ugly and we have to remember that not everyone is out to get us, but dont forget that those maggots are still out there.

revenge tip toes around moral issues, but can feel devilishly comforting at times. yet i've come to learn that it is always better to be the bigger person. every time! i will never forget when my grandma told me that all the anger and hate she had for people in her life, had finally turn against her. she meant her cancer. medically the idea is far fetch, but i understood what she meant.

theres no point in harvesting such ugliness in you because what you hate will be what you will become.

and life is too awsume to always be pist!

i know i have every right to be angry at people, specially the recent situation, but
the best revenge is to move on.
amen!

unexpected events

so i thought when i was gonna call into work yesterday
that my head was gonna be on a plate.
but some reason the chef were being human & understanding.

i mean its not my fault they havent found a cure for the common
cold, right. gees. & if someone still thinks you sexy when you sound
like the love child of Fran Drescher & a character from revenge of the nerds
keep them around!

i wanted to do a little short video more for my buddy aracelis
and i guess a bit randomness

so watch & throw tomatoes if you must
but hope u enjoy:

so just in case you didnt get to see the shot
heres a better look!

mmm.dee.lish!

well it hurts like a bitch and i've been walking like i have a wooden leg!
poop!

let me tell you though the bike ride was so sweet!
and i was actually laughing while i was falling off the bike!
i was like oh shit. haaa!

and then crash!
i tell you though, there nothing like that sweet wind as you ride through brooklyn& i want this so bad now, even post crash!

friday night with sam taylor me & jewls

so if you are in new york
and love naked women then you gotta hit up a little place off of orchard and stanton on the lower eastside. women dance and take off there clothes with a little
more taste then your average stripper.

on the left you can see this all women chick dancer
as my roomie taylor doing the 'i approve this message' pose.

good times
after words we got crepes at this place down the street
where this foreign women behind the counter
made this natella deliciousness with a separate order
sun dried tomatoes and goat cheese stuffed crepes
mmm.

so me & the roomie stand different when it comes to team miliey and team demi/selena!

so i do have to admit how i adore demi and selena and i wouldnt be a fan at heart
if i didnt tell you that her cd
dont forget
is coming out and i'm
getting it!

perez hilton has a thing for the jonie bros
and i gotta support the
young women who
are smart and talented.

i may get stonded
for being such a kid at heart
but i cant help it.

new season coming!
fall/winter in new york
that means cozy time
and more scarfs!

chrismas in new york!
get yourself over here!
